I was printing a large project, 48 hours, and at 36 hours the extruder stopped feeding. I was printing with PLA. There was no powerfailure, no loss of heat of the nozzle.
The feeding motor made a cluck cluck sound and the filament “bounced”. So I cleaned the nozzle, swopped it with another one, but no change.
When I unscrew the nozzle, there is no problem. So I bought a new nozzle, but same happened.
I then dismantled the extruder to see if there is an obstruction somewhere, but found none.
I reassembled it, making sure everything was tightened and correctly positioned.
Then I started to play with the tensioning of the feeding bearing. I got to a point where there is no feed, then turning the top (screws with springs) very slightly and clucking begins.
I am desperate.
Any suggestions please.
